Blanket Birthday wishes and other stuff

Happy Birthday to all you February kiddies!! Hope the coming year is full of fun and surprises. Just thought I'd blog for the heck of it, even though I've been out of touch with y'all for a long time. This month was interesting for me....went to New York for a couple of days for a long weekend with 2 of my girlfriends. It happened to fall on the weekend with record-breaking snowstorm, read blizzard (almost 30 inches in Central Park overnight). Though the resulting picturesque snowy cityscape was awesome, it made for a challenging debacle to get around. The taxis are totally crazy...they were fishtailing and slipping in the snow on purpose, just to make us giggle. We managed to see Ground Zero (leaves you speechless), Empire State Bldg., The Met, Broadway show, Times Square, Little Italy and of course, many yummy meals. With me and my friend preggers, eating was the only vice we had left!! Now, I'm just back to the mommy grind, doing laundry which seems to be mu...

Recapping

Ok, gotta post, just to be posty and make the archive. Tom and I have been the recipients of some lovely lobster dinners, thanks to the diving efforts of my ocean loving son, Craig. He has successfully brought home the lobster over this lobster season, much to our delight. Also, spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon (before the massive rainstorms arrived yesterday) at the zoo with Kara and Lori, and my friend Linda and her grandson Jesse. We saw our famous giraffe with the kink in her neck, which looks really strange, but doesn't hurt her at all. Our gorilla was on the move, and he is a very impressive fellow. Last time I saw him, I was shocked to see him shake out his blanket, spread it out on the ground, and proceed to lie down on it for a nap! I am happy because this coming week-end we are going to to see the Bay area family...Dee, Scott and Owen, and Jim, and even possibly David and Robin, who knows? I am sad because Megan will be out of town, and we will miss seeing her...

Last Day for February Blog

Hey forgot to mention, I believe we will archive after today so this is your last chance to put a post in the February archives. Lets hope March will hold many fascinating posts to read and comment on. By the way, WHAT THE HECK ARE WE DOING FOR JIMS BIG BIRTHDAY??? It has to be special. Is this a semi-centennial or bi-centennial birthday?

Home again home again jiggidy jig

Whatever. We returned last night to sunny Oklahoma. Warmer here than Florida. Had a great time, well maybe an OK time. Missed you all. Now I have a house to clean and a pile of mail up to the ceiling full of bills to pay. Went to the gym this morning but only did half a workout. Too tired! Welcome Dale. Nice to see a new face! Well, read a new face I guess I should say. Time to get blogging! Have a good day!

Good photo mom

You really got dressed up for that one! Where have you been hiding the tiara?

Sunday in cloudy rainy Florida

Hey guys! How was the big birthday bash last night? Sorry we missed it. We went to Busch Gardens in Tampa yesterday. That's the first time we've been there. It was great, not as crowded as I imagine Disney World is. Then we came back to Orlando and watched Walk The Line. It was good. Today is raining and cold! We come home tomorrow night. See Ya

Saturday, Saturday, la la

It's been a nice Saturday. Started off at 5:30 am fora long morning walk with my friends, which is made bearable when we stop in at the Coffee Grinder to linger and chat over coffee for a looong time before completing the circuit and arriving back home by 8:30. A leisurely breakfast and perusing of the paper. Finally off to work by 10. Only had to put in 4 hrs today. Then we picked up Kara and Matthew and went to see 8 Below. It was really good..if you go, take kleenix. We had some dinner and just arrived back home. They are sleeping over and they are out in the living room with Peg Leg watching the Olympics. I am ready for bed! Later, Dalys

Good Morning from the Dump

Hi guys. This hotel is a dump! Dirty rooms, hall, we got stuck in the elevator! We had to call twice for new coffee and shampoo and towels and then this morning I find that while they brought new coffee, they forgot the cups. For $130 a night they should do better than that! I am going to complain loudly to Holiday Inn Corporate office! At least the weather is nice Love ya guys! Blog On!!

The Pink House and more...

The Pink House is good...but just to let everyone know, my cousin opened a restaurant in Claremore called Cowboy Charlie's. It has really good food and a fun atmosphere! So, the next time you are in Claremore, stop by and tell them B-donk sent you! My 3 boys love it...I get whatever entree has gravy. It is just south of Rogers State University about a mile and it's on the left. Bye now.

Nice Blogging guys!

Good morning! Dee, motherhood has been hard on you? You look a little different. Nose job? Mom, my friend Sallie wants to take me to lunch at the Pink House and was surprised I had not been. Is it good? Jim I am so sad for you. Were those numbers computer generated? I am going to buy my tickets for Saturday here if Florida is in the powerball. John, glad your on, where's Kathy? I sent Chealsie a invite, tell her it is cool to blog with the family. Does Kathy have an email I can send her an invite? I see Carol and Peg leg were sneaky in using home and work to get both on! But ole Peg isn't talking, what's that about? My friend Deb went on to her Florida house this morning so I have no one to play with. Michael is engaged now and his girlfriend will be here this afternoon. She wants to have dinner with us. They are getting married in September and want us to be there. That will be hard. I have discovered the grieving process is slower when you lose a person you don't see...

By the Way>>>>>>

I just happen to have three (3) only slightly used lottery tickets, purchased only days ago, that I would consider letting go for a "fraction" of my cost. Anyone interested?

Is This the Same as.......?

Image
Is this the same as having everyone in the daly family in an email group list and periodically sending out a message to everyone, except different?

Sooooooooo! OK!

Well, I don't know if I'm on the blog, but maybe

Sunny Florida

HELLO FAMILY! We are here in sunny Florida having a great time! I am glad to see more and more signing on to blog. I am heading out with Deborah Baugh to play outside today! Have a great day. Love ya all! Blog ON!

Welcome

Welcome to the Blog B-Bank!

How to put pictures on profile

First you need to set up a place to put pictures on the net. Go to photobucket.com and set up an account. It is free. I use it to put pictures on my ebay ads. Then when you get to the picture box, click on the browse next to it, find your picture file on your computer and click on it, then click submit. Your picture should show up below where you are at this time. Right underneath your photo will be a URL in a box ( also there will be a tag and a img) but the one you want is the URL. Highlight it and copy it to the space for a URL in the profile set up for the blog. I am going off to Orlando in the morning but am going to take my computer and try to keep in touch with all you bloggers. I hear it is warm there...HA HA HA you guys stay warm while I am gone. I will miss you all. Blog on!!

I would like to post my picture, please help!

Charlotte, could you tell me how to post my pic on my profile. A tutorial for the rest of us bloggers, please.

Information Request

Could someone please give me directions to this woodpile? By the way do any of you watch the Colbert Report? It is some downright funny stuff, I'll tell you that right now! Also, I'm not sure about the Mr. Rogers stuff...I'll figure that out tomorrow. All I know is he thinks it's hilarious...

Message to John

Post your own message, rather than comment on someone else, and you will appear under the "contributors." Look below the contributors list, below the blog listing, till you see the orange whatever it is blogger button. Click on that, and on the upper right corner of the screen is the sign in area to post your own blog. See ya on the blog!

James I never knew you were so handsome!

I love the picture Jimbo! It's good you finally removed your mask and decided to just be yourself! We have some spicey profiles in our membership! Claud Hopper and Carol need to liven theirs up. Carol, it sounds like you had a very meaningful weekend. Very Interesting. Blog on!

Who's the cutie?

James is hot, now how are we related to him?

Coming aboard

How cool....we are a blogging family! And what darling youngsters in our clan! I love them all. I hope RD is back home with his crew, (happy birthday!) and certainly hope the weather has improved. Well, I had some interesting experiences this week-end that I could blog about. I belong to a group of women calling ourselves "Willing Disturbers" and last fall we had a couple of women visit us, one of whom is on the road to ordination as a Catholic priest. What, you say? You thought only men could be priests? That is correct, but there are many women out there who are called to priesthood, and they are tired of waiting for the Church to come around and give them their rights as equal baptized members of the Body. So a grassroots movement is afoot to go right ahead with ordination. It started in 2002 in Europe when a male bishop ordained the first seven in international waters on the Danube River. Last summer another group were ordained on the St. Lawrence river in Ca...

Birthdays Abound!

Hey guys...Rick is going to be 33 tomorrow, so let's pretend that the banks and post office are closed for him! It will be so much fun...later dudes! Happy Birthday Kathy! Oprah says that 40 is the new 30 and I believe it...so rock on sista!

Lordy Lordy! Look who's 40!! Happy Birthday Kathy!!

Love ya old lady!

YES!!

I am happy now! I look and what do I see but a sweet baby Owen looking at me! He is so cute! and also I see 3 of my little boys with those adorable faces! Thanks for the posts moms. And you too RD! Ainslie, hang in there, the sun will shine again and Rick will come home although he may never be the same after all this time in his cell. Dee you will be great with 2 in diapers! It's no big deal. It's scarier before the baby comes than it is after. If I can do 3 in diapers well, we won't go there,,,,let's just say one of them,,,,starts with a K,,,wouldn't wear her diaper or anything else for that matter. Good thing it was summer or she would have frozen to death.

Ok, now for the next test. This is my baby Owen. He's pointing to his nose for mama. He knows all his body parts, lots of colors and many more cartoon characters like Thomas, Elmo, Dora, Blues Clues dude, baby Einstein, etc. Its amazing how quick they pick things up. I'm about 8 weeks away from having another bundle and I'm a nervous wreck! I am more tired after a day with Owen than after a day at the office. I wonder how long before it will be bearable, with 2 in diapers...any advice/tips from the experienced moms of two wee ones? Ciao for now!

Yo Dalys

Well, here goes. I am now an official blogger. This is only a test, more later once I find that this actually worked.

This Blog's for you

Image
I am really sick of the sleet and I am trapped in a dirty house that may never recover. There are Thomas the train tracks all over the den and dining room, a medieval battle being waged in the living room and my toddler only wants to drink orange juice out of a real glass...no sippy cups allowed. You may be wondering, is the badonk still sane? The answer is barely...if the three of them weren't so darn cute and sweet I would be a crazy lady! See attached images. The only other thing that is saving my sanity is this sweet blog. It gives me hope in this Oklahoma/Narnia winter...the daly blog is a welcome escape from the daily grind...but I digress... I hope you have enjoyed my contribution to this great literary experiment. PS: Way to go Cheyanne on you accomplishment in speech! PSS That reminds me, I sae Trisha and Garth at Academy Sports and Outdoors a couple of weeks ago...but I'll save that story for anonther blog...until then... Have a good day!

Please post

I am so sad. It is sleeting outside for the 3rd day and I am stuck here inside waiting for all of you to join me in this blog. I keep checking and no one says a thing. I know you are all home with nothing better to do this snowy icy cold Sunday afternoon, so why aren't you blogging? There are other blogs on here with the Daly name. Maybe I should just go join one of them? You guys would like that wouldn't you? You just want me to go away don't you? Oh No! I feel my paranoia growing. Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I think I'll eat some worms! Big fat juicy ones, little bitty skinny ones........

Hell Yaw!

How dare the Donk from the Yonk speak such blasphemy. Everyone wants to read the musings of the eccentric Dr confined to a 10 X 10 room! Especially the crazy woman who gave birth to the adorable little buggar.

New Instuctions

Ok guys, you have to sign up as a user or member. It is easy and you don't have to give any vital information. Then when you want to post a message to the blog, there is a little white box, currently on the lower right, that says I Power Blogger and has a red square with a B in it. Click on that and you will get a screen that has Daly Family Blog with a green cross next to it. Click on that and you will get a screen with a title block and a text box. What you put in the title box will show up on the lower right under New Posts and what you put in the text box will be your blog! Try it, don't worry about a thing, it won't hurt you! Trust me.
This is a test and only a test - if it had been a really blog you would have been asked to take cover.

Blog

I don't know what I'm doing but I am trying to set up this blog for the family to keep up with each other. If this works we may not need to pay for a web page after the one Jim has runs out.
