Blanket Birthday wishes and other stuff

Happy Birthday to all you February kiddies!! Hope the coming year is full of fun and surprises. Just thought I'd blog for the heck of it, even though I've been out of touch with y'all for a long time. This month was interesting for me....went to New York for a couple of days for a long weekend with 2 of my girlfriends. It happened to fall on the weekend with record-breaking snowstorm, read blizzard (almost 30 inches in Central Park overnight). Though the resulting picturesque snowy cityscape was awesome, it made for a challenging debacle to get around. The taxis are totally crazy...they were fishtailing and slipping in the snow on purpose, just to make us giggle. We managed to see Ground Zero (leaves you speechless), Empire State Bldg., The Met, Broadway show, Times Square, Little Italy and of course, many yummy meals. With me and my friend preggers, eating was the only vice we had left!!

Now, I'm just back to the mommy grind, doing laundry which seems to be multiplying like rabbits and keeping the toys picked up on a daily basis. Owen and I felt like Cat in the Hat yesterday, just looking out the window at the rain and trying to endure another episode of Blue's Clues (well, that was me-he was in heaven). Mom and Dad visit this weekend....I hadn't heard that my other brothers were coming over, but the more the merrier! Hopefully it will stop raining so we can do something fun.
