Beags

Hello family, it is a sad day here at our house. Beags would not eat again today and he also refused his medication and water. He was really beginning to hurt from not having his arthritis meds and it made it very hard for him to walk. He was still getting up and going outside but it was a very long and painful trip for him. He stopped wagging his tail yesterday and he seemed to not really know what was going on. We were torn between letting nature take it's course or taking him into the vet. I kept remembering the rush to the emergency vet in the middle of the night with my poor Harvey crying in pain in my lap and we decided to go ahead and take him in. The ride was uneventful, he just laid in the back with me and did not seem nervous at all (he usually goes crazy in the car) When we got there he wanted to snif and do his thing on the flowers before going in. Bob met us there so he could have some time with Beags. Bill held him in his lap and he went to meet Harvey very peacefully...

Spys

I am sooo glad to hear one of us sent the info in. I was feeling a little weird about the Hale Alumni Spys watching us all from afar! Kelly is going to send in her article (as soon as it comes out) but if she does not do it promptly I will do it for her! We are trying to decide what to do about Beags. He is very disoriented today and refuses to eat. Bill is sick with a cold or flu and this is really getting him down. Beags does not seem to be in any pain, he just seems like a zombie dog. I am supposed to go shopping and to lunch with 2 friends today, yes I really have 2 friends, but don't know if I should. I'll update you all later.

Hale website

Wow, that is cool, I wonder where they get their info from. Kelly was going to send the article that will come out in the Tulsa World sometime in the next few weeks to the alumni association but they must have somebody searching for information on people all the time. I wonder how long it has been on there. It must have gone on before she won District Teacher of the Year since it doesn't say anything about that AND they spelled her name wrong! Anyway, that's neat, thanks for letting us know.

Daly Family Blog

If you check out the Hale Alumni website, Kelly has been added for her teacher of the year accomplishments :)

Hello

Hi guys, no one is posting much. I have had a busy past two days. Yesterday I came into the computer room and there were framed photos broken and scattered all over the room! Then I saw that the cornice board had fallen off the window right down on top of my computer monitor. It was smashed! (I don't suppose there are any salvageable parts Jim?) So Bill and I went out on a hunt for a new monitor only to come home with a TiVo also. I was totally crazy trying to get it hooked up when our friends Kent and Lisa came out to go to dinner with us. Bob came over and hooked it up while we went to dinner taking Cheyanne along to keep the Faith's little boy Kade company at dinner. Today I have been busy trying to figure out TiVo. I was told that with TiVo you could record all the shows you want to watch even if they are on at the same time. But now that we bought one I find that is not the case. Unless I am misunderstanding. Does anyone know? Also trying to figure out what I am going to d...

Here are a few pictures of the family on Easter...

That Owen is so cute! He reminds me so much of Craig when he was a baby. All that blonde hair and those huge blue eyes! This family has the prettiest kids in the world! Thay are all adorable! Thanks for the Catty Ainslie. I tried to get Jim to take him home for supper but he left him for someone else to catch. Carol, I fixed your problem for you. I had the same trouble yesterday when I posted my pics. I found if I floated them to the center they came out better. Next time when posting click on the center instead of left. Good Morning Family! I should have said that first but I'm slow today. Heading into town to have a manicure and pedicure among other errands that HAVE to get done! Blog on folks! Love ya!

Hello family, thought I'd post a few of the pics I got back from Reasors this week. I also wanted to post the Easter pictures I scanned for Ainslie but I think I did something wrong and they will not post. I think I need to rescan them so Ainslie if you're reading, I need to borrow your pics to scan again. We are still waiting on the cattywampus pictures too! Dee that is a very adorable baby! I want to hold him! How are things going? Are you able to rest at all? It is hard to believe it is almost the weekend again! My gosh where did the week go? This year is just flying by I can not believe it. How can we slow things down? Do we want to have a second annual Daly family camping trip? I have it on the schedule for labor day weekend again. Any thoughts? I also have heard about a place near Hot Springs where we could rent houseboats by the week. That would be cool. adding one last picture of my babies

You talking to me? Cry baby First bath OK, this is Deanna now. Just had a minute to say Hi to everyone and thank you all for the good wishes. We are doing great and trying to get settled in with life with a new baby. Mom and dad just left today so now reality begins. You mean I have to start cooking dinner and doing laundry again?? YIKES! Anyways, they were a huge help and fun to have around. Congrats to Kelly on her award...that is awesome! I missed the article, but maybe someone can just e-mail it to me. Here are a couple of pics of Wesley Take care everyone! I will post more later...

Howdy

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a nice Easter. We had a great time here, all the kids with the exception of Amber were here for dinner along with Mom and James Alla Wishes and another couple who are friends of Rick and Ains with their little boy. James caught the record fish for the week, I believe it was a pound or 2 shy of the one Bob caught on April 1st. Pics of both will be posted soon. The kids found lots of eggs, both real and those stuffed with candy and Grandaddys eggs which he had filled with MONEY! I am going to remove the front page article about Kelly because it really messes up the blog but if someone missed it and wants to see it I will try to make it smaller and repost it. Heading out to lunch with Bill so have a great day and BLOG ON!

Hi

Hi all. I haven't blogged in a while. Working nights messes with my biorythms. One more week and I'll go back to day shift. Scott and Deanna, crongratulations for Wesley. He's a cutey.

Hello Everyone!

I am soo sorry that I have been slacking with my blogging...I know it's bad and I'll try to never let it happen agin! First of all, congrats from me to Kelly on winning the prestigious Teacher of the Year award! You deserve it! And to Deanna and the rest of he CA clan...congrats on the new addition! I love the name Wesley. What does Owen think of his new baby brother? I am busy getting ready for the end of Jacob's final year in gradeschool...he will begin 6th grade this fall. He takes his science fair project to school tomorrow, it is an experiment comparing two different catapults used in medieval warfare...Here's hoping he places. He loves history and military topics...on a recent roadtrip to OKC, instead of watching cartoons on the dvd player, he watched a PBS documentary on Ulysses S. Grant that he had asked me to order for him...funny huh? William and Benjamin had a great time at their two Easter Celebrations today. They really like getting to see their f...

Happy Easter

We are still enjoying ourselves here at Deanna and Scott's. Tonight we had Zack's pizza, which we have every single time we come up here. Jim and Megan pick it up in Berkeley and bring it here. It is Chicago style, and the best pizza ever. So the babies are asleep for now, Owen in his bed, and Wes in Megan's arms. The others are playing cribbage doubles. Tomorrow we are having a simple Easter buffet and Scott's family will join us and Jim and Megan will be here too. Sadly, we have to go home on Monday. I talked to Craig today, he was out fishing on his boat. They had so much rain yesterday that Matt's baseball game was cancelled today. Kara will participate in her first gymnastics meet next Saturday. Robin had a field trip this week-end, but she and David are coming down next week-end and will meet Wesley then. We will see them in May when we travel to Humboldt for Robin's graduation. So that's it in an eggshell. Wishing you all a happy Easter! ...

News

Hi Mom. I'll give you my news. My ducks are growing so fast! I named them Donald and Daisey but I am not sure what sex they are so that may have to change. They are White Pekin ducks and no we will not be eating them! Right now they a fuzzy, fluffy yellow babies! They think I am Mom and will follow me anywhere. They are really neat. I put the article about Kelly on the blog for all to see but I will remove it after everyone sees it as it turned out so big it pushed our sidebar all the way out. I am having the kids over tomorrow afternoon and evening for dinner and egg hunts. Would you and Jim like to come? It won't be up to my usual fare because with the bad arm I just make do as best I can. It will be edible though. The kids will be fishing some too. We caught the biggest catfish I have ever seen awhile back. It was even bigger than the ones Rick used to catch on his trot lines years ago. I have been working on Cheyanne's bedroom furniture. It is about done. I will get her...

Welcome Sherelle

Hey great to see you blogging! I just want to tell you all thet I have joined my sister Claudia in being a duck mommy. I got 2 baby ducks day before yesterday and they think I am the mom. They follow me around and climb all over me! They are the cutest little things next to Wesley of course. I am hoping they will be friends of our goose and keep her company when the others take off next fall. There seems to be about 3 or 4 pairs of geese nesting this year on the pond next door so we may have a ton of goslings this year. We did not have any last year and speculation has it the neighbor picked up the eggs. I really do not mind him doing that as all those babies leave tons of poop on my driveway. They are cute though. Anyway, that is how I am keeping busy around here since I can't do much else. Just quacking myself up.
I just wanted to congratulate Dee on the new baby--- he is absolutely adorable--- you should be very proud :) And Kelly I think that is so awesome--- I am so proud, I've been telling everyone at work! Sorry, may take me a while to get caught up on all the blog messages...

To blog or not to blog

Hi ya'll! I have been seeking a quiet moment to catch up with the busy Daly bloggers! So many happenings lately! Well, Owen is going down for his nap, and Dee and Scott are at the hospital waiting for the final test results and planning on coming home with baby Wesley this afternoon. So let me just take this opportunity to congratulate you worthy recipients: 1) Dee and Scott for a beautiful sweet baby boy! 2) Kelly - District Teacher of the Year Extraordinaire!!!! Awesome, Kelly, so proud of you. 3) Rylie for a first of many soccer goals...whoo hoo, way to go! 4) Chey for winning the school speech contest, and for being so "excellent" in the district competition (I see big things ahead for you!) 5) Mom for working the system for free breakfasts and gambling money. 6) Char for reaching the 4 week healing mark...how fast the time is flying. You will be back to your usual trouble before you know it. 7) Ainslie for getting ready to score a big box of good wine. I'm ...

Great Wine

Ainslie, here is the moment you've been waiting for since last week. The wonderful wine we had is Carmenet Cabernet Sauvignon. The year of this box is 2003. The box is a tall hexagon shape. We looked all over in Florida for it but I guess they don't do much box wines down there. We got this box out here in the burb. If you can't find it in town I'll pick one up for you. Now, quit your whining and go get your wine.

One more thing

I forgot to mention Jim, I noticed the Tulsa speed dating .com web address is up for grabs. I assume you are letting it go. I am interested in knowing how much a web site costs. Do we need one or is this blog enough? It would be good to be able to post lots of pics and film etc. I'd like to learn how to do all that stuff sometime down the line, but no time right now. Gotta run.

Good Morning ALL!

Hi everyone. I had a sleepless night, something about ice tea from McAllister. Finally got up about 4:50 and re-read this entire blog. I noticed some things I thought needed to be clarified or reported on but now I forget many of them. Hey, I'm getting up there in years too, I'm entitled to forget things. Ok one thing was Cheyanne's Tulsa District Speech Competition. You all know she won in her school and she went to the district and she got an EXCELLENT! Another was uhh...Oh shoot I shoulda made notes! Oh I know I wanted to be clear about the $5 and a free breakfast. So Mom, you show up at the Casino Monday through Thursday mornings and they give you $5 and a free breakfast? Have the downtown winos moved out east? My gosh it seems to me once word got out they would be swamped with hungry folks taking the money and running. But you said they must be of a certain age, well that would slow a few down I guess. I also want to say Kelly did a wonderful job last night accepting h...

SO CUTE!

Oh Dee, he is so sweet. I wish I could hold him! Give him a kiss from great aunt Charlotte, and while you're kissin, give Owen one too. Good job Rylie! Hey you looked beautiful tonight. You looked like the daughter of the year of the teacher of the year. I know you are proud of your Mom, I sure am. Thanks Claudia and Mom for making the long trek out to Owassoland for the presentation and dinner. It was good to see you guys. We must do lunch soon. Blog on guys!

Its official...he's here

I see word got out about our new arrival. He is doing great! Will be coming home tomorrow with a clean bill of health! I will postlater with more details and let Carol know how to work this computer... Wesley Thomas Spomer April 9, 2006 6:54 am 8 lbs. 10 oz.

Great baby name - great baby! Congratulations!

Just spoke to Carol and Wesley is doing fine. He is still in intensive care for babies on antibiotics, but only as a precaution due to a spot that they saw on his lungs. They said it could just be a little fluid, but should it be an infection, they are giving him the anitbiotics and he is responding well to them. Deanna is going home now, but will be back up at the hospital tonight as a boarder to stay close and feed the little guy. 8 lbs and 10 oz is no small baby, unless of course you consider is grandma had an 11 lb baby once. We are talking big there, Jim! (Not Alla Wishes) Anyway, Carol wanted be to assure everyone that Wes is great! And she wants me to tell Kelly contratulations! They are at Scott and Deannas taking care of Owen and she doesn't have access to a computer because Scott has a million wires and stuff, that frightens her. That is why she has not been blogging. Maybe she will figure it all out soon and add a word or two. Kelly, GG and I plan to be there t...

Where is the school board meeting?

Hey teacher of the year, we need to know where the meeting is and should we all meet ahead of time somewhere so we can sit together? We want to have a show of BIG family there don't we? Maybe we can all go out to eat at Subway after? Mom, want to come? Anyone from Tulsa coming who could offer GG a ride?

Welcome little Wesley

Great news that sweet baby boy has arrived and his name has finally been chosen. I love it. I must say I am sort of sad they did not go with Spanky but I'll bet he will thank them one day. I hear he is a big boy. How is he doing? How's Deanna? I know all ya'll California folk are busy out there, so we will wait patiently until we hear from you. Congratulations to Scott,Dee and Owen, Granny,Gramps and all you aunts, uncles and cousins far far away from us! Love you all Mom, I removed your extra posts. When you post a note it does not show up right away. So if you are publishing twice you don't need to. If it says your post published successfully and it does not show up, wait awhile it will eventually.

Way to go Kelly!

This is really exciting and we are all so proud of you! You deserve to be Teacher of the Year - Nationwide! I have always known that you were a great teacher and have so much patience with the little ones. Not to say that you don't have your moments where you would like to pull your hair out, but it is apparent that you have respect for those little kiddos just like they are people too. And that is important in getting respect back from them. You make them feel special and that makes you special too! Lots of love and congratulations from this arm of the Daly bunch! Claudia and Tom and all the rest too!

Yeah Kelly!

Congratulations! Don't let the pressure of State get to you, it's a done deal! (at least in my book). Love ya,

Owasso Teacher of The Year!!!

Congratulations!! Woo Hoo! You are awesome! I knew you would win! Next stop Oklahoma State! Really we are so proud of you. You are a wonderful teacher and deserve this honor. I am sure you are flying high right now. Love you lots, see you Sunday evening.

Not much to report

What a life...please join us on the Lido deck for wine and cheese. I'm jealous you are in the sun, but I'm sure its a very healing and relaxing atmosphere for you! Enjoy it! We are fighting SAD disease here in Calif. It's rained for like 40 days straight. I'm just waiting for the animals to come marching by twos down my river, er, I mean street. No baby news from this front. My MD did a procedure last Friday to "stir things up" and mentioned that she would be surprised to see me back in their office this week. "Surprise!" Still here, still waiting. Contractions are sporadic, sleeping is sporadic. Luckily, I've been able to rest at home while Owen goes to daycare 3 days per week, which has helped with the blood pressure. Oh, and thanks for the cute outfits! They are adorable! I'm glad they are for bigger sizes because I remember how fast they jump from the newborn sizes to 6+ months in clothes. I hope you didn't send those in lie...

What is going on?

Hey everyone, how come no ones bloggin? We are in Florida for Sun N Fun and indeed it is sunny. We came on the airline so Bill is without aircraft on the field. He is busy with official work but I think he gets bored with no plane to fly. I am all settled in our hotel and have become the official provider of snacks and wine for our group of friends. I want to hear how Cheyanne's speech competition went. You all heard that she won the 2nd grade competition in her school, well she went Tuesday to the district competition. So Chey, let us know. Did you have fun? How did you do? Dee, how are you feeling? BP under control? Any new names come up? Guess I'll get back to the fun in Sun N Fun! Blog on....I mean off

Cheyanne Is 8 ?!!

No way! I t seems like only yesterday she was seven! Happy Birthday Chey!

Happy Birthday, Chey!

Are you really 8 years old? Wow. I hope you are catching some fish, and having a great birthday with your family. Did your Aunt Kelly bake your cake? I'm sure it is delicious and beautiful. Did you get some nice presents? Have fun at your swim party too! Many celebrations for a fun 8 yr old! I wish you a very happy birthday. Lots of love, Aunt Carol
