My little monkeys
It took me a while to remember my password. I had to create an intricate logarithm to solve my password dilemma: X=B to the nth degree, where X=number of days since last post and B=number of memory cells intact and n=the number of times Rylee said "monkey". So, as you can see, the problem is solved.
We had a busy holiday, as I'm sure you all did too. I'm glad us four bloggers are still around. I have to say I love love love the calendar this year. It just keeps getting bigger and better. (see picture below...those are my in-laws checking it out). Thanks Char and whoever else helped with it. It is always fun to look at my uncles and aunts and cousins in various states of activities and watching the kids grow up!!
Owen is growing like a weed these days. He can see over the counter, which means he can probably see over the pool table, which means that I'm going to have to break out the shorty cue for him pretty soon. You can catch him on ESPN in 20 years...schedule your TIVO. He seems to be quite the talker and is speaking in full on sentences now, which is amazing to me. Sometimes he says things which I know he doesn't really understand like "I promise, mommy" and "I'll be good" because when I remind him that he said those things while I'm standing in line at Target, he looks at me with a blank stare, as if saying "I don't know what you are talking about, but if you don't buy me those M&M's I'm going to scream really really loud and embarrass the heck out of you". Anyways, he is a sweet boy who will always kiss your boo boo and share his goldfish.
Wes is now crawling (ack) and pulling up (double ack). He just turned 9 months old and is a complete 180 from Owen as an infant. He is like a bull in a china shop, or as we like to call him "the little godzilla". He will tackle anything that you worked hard to build, especially the train table track that took 5 hours to assemble or Owen's lego tower. His favorite pastime is to sweep anything off his highchair tray in one fell swoop and giggle when it hits the floor. AGain a sweet little boy, nonetheless. He leans in to give you a kiss (open mouth) and lays his head down on your shoulder. He laughs at the threat of being tickled. It's really cute.
As for us, we are just plugging along, and trying to make ends meet and enjoying our little family and circle of friends. I still get my one pool league night out, and I'm encouraging Scott to get back on a league too. We are hoping to make a short trip out to Vegas in May to play in the 8-Ball North American Amateur Nationals. It's always alot of fun and depending on the childcare situation (hint hint, mom), we are hoping to stay for 3 days. If anyone wants split the cost of the Sky Villa with us, please let us know:
OK, enough for now. Blog on....
