She's baaaaack!!!!!

Hello! I'm back! Not only from my trip, which was fun I might add, but I am back to the blog! I have no idea what happened but for the past several weeks I have been unable to get to the blog as we all see it. All I could see was mumbo jumbo computerease. No background, no sidebars, nothing but a lot of letters, symbols and the occasional recognizable name. When I have had some time I have tried to find the answer to my dilemma but never had. So this morning I decided to check and see if I could figure it out and lo and behold, THERE WAS THE BLOG IN ALL IT'S GLORY! Our trip to Urbana was very nice. Bill has finally learned to slow down and enjoy the trip for the trip's sake and not plow down the highway like he's racing from a fire! We drove from here to Rolla, MO the first day and stopped for the evening. Had a nice dinner and relaxed. The next morning we drove on to Urbana taking the southern route around St Louis. WOW what a difference! I have been going north every ...

Long lost family member checking in

Hi everyone. It's been so long, I almost forgot how to blog. It seems strange to think of Rick and his family not being in Tulsa! I wish you all well in Cincinnati. I think it will be such a great experience....one of my dear friends here is from Cincinnati, and she is always nostalgic for it. She says it is a very nice city, with a lot of attractions. However, my Jim was there with his hockey team, and those kids went to town for a good time, and he said it was scary! So, I guess it has everything to offer. It sounds like you are just staying for the summer and then coming back to Tulsa for school?? No one will have time to visit you there! So it will be up to you to tell us all about it. The pictures are so cute...is that Peanut, or ??? Kelly, ya'll have been busy, sounds like fun. Did Ry get to fly yet? Best of luck in the Teacher's competition, will be pulling for you! Imagine, my niece, who used to play on the swingset in my backyard and do her cheerleadi...

Hi everyone! Just a little blog to keep you posted on the happenings in my family. We are now under the one week mark for Rick's departure to Cincinnati on June 28th...we will follow a week later on July 5th. The kids and I will stay for 6 weeks before returning for the start of the school year. We are all excited to see a new city! I will blog from afar to let you know what wonderous sights we behold! Here are a few recent pictures of the boys and of the pond-record challenger catfish caught by Brian last weekend...hope to hear from you soon! Ainslie

What happened?

Hey, what happened to everyone??? Gimme something to read! Here is my input for the day (This is a real word!): pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, noun (NOO-muh-noh-UL-truh-MY-kruh-SKOP-ik-SIL-i-koh-VOL-kay-no-koh-NEE-o-sis, nyoo-) A lung disease caused by inhaling fine particles of silica. [From New Latin, from Greek pneumono- (lung) + Latin ultra- (beyond, extremely) + Greek micro- (small) + -scopic (looking) + Latin silico (like sand) + volcano + Greek konis (dust) + -osis (condition).] Even though we have included the pronunciation of this word, we advise caution lest you may have to avail the services of an otorhinolaryngologist (a throat, nose, and ear specialist). At 45 letters, it's the longest word in any English language dictionary. It's a trophy word -- its only job is to serve as the longest word. In day-to-day use, its nine-letter synonyms "silicosis" or "black lung" work just as well, and the latter is more descriptive.
