She's baaaaack!!!!!

Hello! I'm back! Not only from my trip, which was fun I might add, but I am back to the blog! I have no idea what happened but for the past several weeks I have been unable to get to the blog as we all see it. All I could see was mumbo jumbo computerease. No background, no sidebars, nothing but a lot of letters, symbols and the occasional recognizable name. When I have had some time I have tried to find the answer to my dilemma but never had. So this morning I decided to check and see if I could figure it out and lo and behold, THERE WAS THE BLOG IN ALL IT'S GLORY!

Our trip to Urbana was very nice. Bill has finally learned to slow down and enjoy the trip for the trip's sake and not plow down the highway like he's racing from a fire! We drove from here to Rolla, MO the first day and stopped for the evening. Had a nice dinner and relaxed. The next morning we drove on to Urbana taking the southern route around St Louis. WOW what a difference! I have been going north every year for a long long time and have asked many people about that way. For some reason everyone always says NO! Don't go that way! Go the north loop. I've heard all kinds of reasons so I have always taken the LONG LONG busy as heck north route or the treacherous I-44 right through downtown route but never attempted the southern route. Well since we were not in a hurry we decided to try it. I think people who tell you not to go that way are just keeping the highway to themselves! It was much shorter than the northern route and 10 times less busy! It was a breeze! So if any of you are driving cross country and going through St Louis, remember to take the south loop around! Anyway we missed the turn for I70 to go through Effingham so we went on up through Springfield and east from there to Urbana. Our friends that live there say that is the best way even if it is 8 miles longer than coming through Effingham. (Maybe we should have tried the other way coming home??)

Bill is now out flying and I am catching up on laundry, bills, email, blog and ebay. I guess we missed the fireworks party. How did it go?

Rick came by last night. I guess he is taking off this week. It sounds like he will be worked to the bone during his 6 months in Cincinnati! I have mixed feelings about how hard they work resident doctors! I know it is better now than it was when Bill did it but it is still very very hard. It has been hard so far for Rick and his family and the next six months sounds impossible to me! I just hope the time flies by and they get on to Tampa where at least they will have great weather! And then get back on home! It will be an adventure for them I guess!

Amber and I plan on painting her living room and entry hall next week. We also are talking about redoing the entire kitchen. Once we get going there's no telling what we end up doing! Kelly and I also are planning on doing some work on their house too.

Rylie and Chey are going to a sewing class next week along with my friend's granddaughter. They are going to learn to sew like GiGi! They are so excited!

They are also enrolled in a summer arts program here in Owasso later in the summer. They will be doing some acting etc. Imagine that....

Well Bill and I must go to Subway and have lunch now, so I will blog more later.
Nice to hear from you Carol! Love ya all! Charlotte
