Greetings from the Queen City!
Hi Everyone!
We are having a great time in Cincinnati! We have been busy seeing the sights and spending time with Rick whenever he is not working. Which is a lot..I think he gets about 4 hours of sleep a night--when he's not on call! It's crazy! So far, we have been to the Museum Center at Union Terminal, the Freedom Center, a family aquatic center, and Lookout Mountain.
The museum has several museums and we have a membership so we have already been a couple of times...the children's museum is so cool, I wish we had one in Tulsa! the Freedom Center is a museum about the underground railroad which reminded me a lot of the holocaust museum in D.C. It had many interactive staions for the boys and was very educational. The pool we went to is really nice and had things for all ages so the boys really enjoyed that. The Lookout Mountain area is huge and is a really high point that overlooks the Ohio river valley and it has a nice playground and structure that reminds me of Philbrook, so there are lots of people having portraits made there. We also drove to another small town in search of a hobby shop so Jacob could find his Roman soldier models...
Next we plan to visit the Zoo, the Aquarium, Coney island, a state park that is nearby with a fishing dock for children and the local Train Station of course! We also have to go and visit the birthpalce of Ulysses S. Grant.
Rick and Jacob are going to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game tonight and they are excited about that! In the mean time, I'm going to keep the coffee coming and try to keep the boys quiet in the apartment which is a very difficult task! The neighbors probably think I have a herd of elephants in here!
I am attaching pictures of our adventures and I'll write more soon! (having a hard time uploading photos...will post more in a while!)
