Hello!
Good to hear from everyone again! Sounds like people are keeping busy. Ainslie and Rick..hope the move went well and you have fun exploring the new surroundings. Char...glad you had a nice trip. I will keep your freeway info in the back of my head for my next trip to St. Louis (haha). Hope the duckies are still around. Grandma, can't wait to see you next week!
We had a fun 4th of July...went to a BBQ at our friends house with a bunch of little kids running around and having a great time. Then we all caravanned over to watch the fireworks display. They set it up over a golf course and tons of people just piled onto the fairways to watch. Owen was a little overwhelmed, and hung on tight to mom and dad. He'd peek every once in a while, but the booms were a little scary. The next morning he kept saying "works, yes" "works, green" so I guess he liked it. Wes sat snuggled up in his stroller and was totally mesmerized.
I have also gotten the decorating bug...we've been here 4 years and the house is still very unfinished. I bought some fabric for curtains for the front room and starting sewing the tab tops, but kind of fizzled out on finishing them. My next project is our bedroom. I'd like to make it finished with warm walls, nice bedding, some cool art and fake plants. Anyways, we've tried a couple of paint colors and just can't decide! One is too gold, the other too green. And the tan seems so "blah". Oh well.
Owen was diagnosed with an innocent heart murmur a couple weeks ago, and a cardiology appointment yesterday confirmed that it is no big deal, they just come and go throughout childhood. Talking to my mom, it sounds like several people in our family has one.
So, Wesley is now smiling and talking alot. I have been messing around with making little movies. Here is the one I made of Wes and Owen's lives so far.
